What if he was Muslim?

I’ve been seeing people post both here and on FB links to some articles (most of them not even articles), suggesting how the Media would have reacted if the Colorado, Dark Knight Rises, shooter was a Muslim along with other comparisons i.e. “What if he was Black or Latino?” The point is he wasn’t and it doesn’t matter weather one is Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Black, Yellow, BEIGE (see what I did there?), or White. He did something horrible and inexcusable but why the hell heck would you feel compelled to draw racial/religious comparisons to a murderer who has ruined the lives of many in so many ways and furthermore share this idiocy with your friends? We all get it, if he was a Muslim, Black, or Latino (in that order) we probably would have heard more about him in the news. However, I think anyone with a brain bigger than the size of a Pea would get that w/o your added help. Are we wishing he was Muslim!?!? Are we in some way feeling excluded here?!? Seriously?!?
